El Cruce de Alces or Elk Crossing, our latest completed design and build custom home situated high in the hills above Eagle, Colorado, is a seamless blend of luxury, comfort, and functionality. Our idea for this home was to create a minimalistic look with elegant design and functionality. Built with the emphasis on taking advantage of the expansive views, we used natural materials and clean lines to showcase its simple but elegant design. This project illustrates the collaboration between the owner’s specific design aesthetic and our ability to bring it to fruition with a modern and functional flare. The idea was contrasted with the exterior, which combined organic and industrial elements. The blond wood and black metal play on textures contrasting with natural hues, all blending beautifully with the natural landscape. The twenty-six-foot ceilings and double-sided floor-to-ceiling fireplace are accentuated with large windows, bringing the outside in.
